Blogs

So, blogs...

I've kept a blog before. My husband and I kept one for a holiday which involved lots of travelling for several weeks and it was great. It let us get our thoughts down at the time rather than retrospectively, we could update it wherever we could get internet access, and friends and family could follow us and hear what we were doing. I'd definitely do that again under the same circumstances.

I look forward to seeing how everyone else is getting on with their 23 Things!

Thing 1 and Thing 2

Thing 1 was no problem for me - I've had a Google ID for several years. However, I've never explored iGoogle so that was new. I like the theory of a personalised home page and I've tried using it for a week but I'm not convinced it's right for me. I've already personalised my browser using links so I can get to most things that I want pretty quickly, and I'm not sure how useful the other stuff, such as A joke a day, really is. Fun, yes, but not useful. However, I can see there are advantages for someone using several different machines and I did enjoy looking through the themes to choose a suitably pretty one. Here is it:

My first blog post

My main aim for the 23 things programme is to learn more about Web 2.0 and how it can help me. I've already ventured into doing some of the 23 things but I want to learn new things and learn more about those I already use.
